California artist Cindy Ellis’s love of roses and gardens began as a young teen as she walked to school passing an old cottage home surrounded by rose gardens. She knew someday she’d live in an older home filled with rose gardens similar to it.

Her love of decorating and creating vignettes turns into subjects for her paintings. Her studio that surrounds her gardens is an inspiration for her creations of many of her romantic rose paintings.

Cindy’s passion for painting roses and gardens comes from imagery thought of what gardens could be and then creates it on canvas.

Cindy has painted on almost anything from furniture, buckets vintage finds and more. Cindy’s choice of medium is oils and acrylics Her schooling for painting has been through the best of local teachers, and gives her belief in the Lord all the credit for her gift.

She began doing commission work for her cottage friends that soon grew into a worldwide business. Canvas prints made from the original paintings are created from the best of quality and will truly add that romantic touch in your cottage home.

Both Cindy and her husband Bob has been so blessed to be featured in many magazines, two cover issues of Romantic Homes, Cottage style, Country Victorian, plus some upcoming books that will feature their home and Cindy’s paintings and studio.
